Voglicose GM 0.2
Composition
Each Uncoated Bi-layered Tablet Contains: - Voglibose 0.2mg + Glimepiride 2mg + Metformin 500mg in Extended-Release form
Indication
Voglibose + Glimepiride + Metformin is a combination of three well-established anti-diabetic medicines prescribed for the effective management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This formulation, also available as voglicose gm 0.2, works by targeting different aspects of blood sugar control, helping individuals achieve better glycemic management when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.
Voglibose, found in voglibose, glimepiride and metformin hci (er) tablets, is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of complex carbohydrates in the intestine, leading to a gradual release of glucose into the bloodstream. This helps prevent sudden spikes in blood sugar levels after meals. Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea class of drugs and stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin, while Metformin, a biguanide, reduces glucose production by the liver and increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin. In some combinations, the strength is specified as voglibose 0.2mg + metformin 500mg + glimipride 2mg for targeted therapy.
This triple-action formula, available in voglicose gm 0.2 tablets, voglicose gm 0.2 tablet, or voglicose gm 0.2 tab, helps maintain steady blood glucose levels throughout the day. By keeping blood sugar within the target range, it reduces the risk of diabetes-related complications such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and cardiovascular disease. For patients with type 2 diabetes who already have heart conditions, this medicine offers additional protection.
Regular blood sugar monitoring, adherence to a healthy lifestyle, and proper use of this medicine can significantly improve diabetes management and quality of life.
